Clever Cloud, a leading European provider of Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions, announces the launch of its first official certification, Cloud Concepts 101, designed to help developers master the fundamentals of cloud computing and the Clever Cloud platform.

An accessible and comprehensive certification

Designed for developers of all levels, Cloud Concepts 101 marks the first step in a broader technical training path. Available in both French and English at academy.clever.cloud, this introductory course offers a hands-on approach to cloud computing and the Clever Cloud platform through progressive learning modules.

The certification can be completed in roughly one day — or at each learner’s own pace — allowing participants to explore Clever Cloud’s tools, experiment with their use, and validate their understanding through a final quiz.

Learn and understand Clever Cloud in practice

The certification covers five main modules focusing on cloud fundamentals and the first steps on the platform:

  • Cloud Computing Fundamentals (virtualisation, scalability, IaaS / PaaS / SaaS / FaaS models)
  • Introduction to Clever Cloud (philosophy, automation, key concepts)
  • Application Deployment (via git push, GitHub / GitLab integrations, environment management)
  • Addon Management (databases, marketplace)
  • Mastering Clever Tools (web console and command-line interface on our CLI, Clever Tools)

At the end of the course, developers can earn a digital badge, add their certification to LinkedIn, and enhance their professional profile.

Comprehensive learning resources — documentation, tutorials, videos, and sandbox environments — are available to help learners progress at their own pace and experiment freely.

With this certification, we want to make Clever Cloud more accessible and give everyone the tools to understand and master their cloud, whatever their technical level. It’s the first building block of a broader support programme built around our technologies.
