Cloud Compliance: A Foundational Commitment at Clever Cloud

Why Cloud Compliance Matters More Than Ever

In an environment where regulations surrounding information system security and data protection are becoming increasingly stringent, compliance is a strategic concern. It is not limited to legal obligations — it directly affects trust, business continuity, and the overall quality of service. At Clever Cloud, compliance is integrated into the very core of how we design, host, and operate our cloud services.

A Security-Driven Approach to Cloud Certification

We have implemented a rigorous governance framework to ensure strong control over the quality and security of our operations. This commitment has resulted in the achievement of several internationally recognized certifications, most of which are centered on information security. These certifications are designed to address the growing need for data protection, risk prevention, and access control:

  • ISO/IEC 27001, which governs our information security management practices;
  • HDS (French Health Data Hosting certification), which authorizes the hosting of sensitive health-related data under French regulatory requirements.

  • Clever Cloud has created a process to support its customers with DORA compliance.

We are currently building on this approach by actively working toward obtaining SecNumCloud certification, issued by ANSSI (the French National Cybersecurity Agency). This certification sets a high bar in terms of security requirements, traceability, access control, logging, and auditability. It serves as a reference standard for cloud providers seeking to offer robust protection of systems and data in highly sensitive contexts.

A Trusted Cloud Infrastructure Built for Long-Term Resilience

At Clever Cloud, we do not see this process as a constraint but rather as an opportunity to align our infrastructure and operational practices with the highest standards. This contributes to the resilience of our platform and provides our customers with a clear, well-documented, and secure contractual framework.

Beyond regulatory compliance, we also advocate for a responsible approach to cloud computing: governed, controlled, open, and sovereign. Our commitments to transparency, reversibility, and support for open standards are all part of a long-term vision to offer customers the technical and contractual conditions necessary for strategic autonomy.

Managed Kubernetes: benefits, limitations and selection criteria

A managed Kubernetes service is an offering in which the cloud provider manages the Kubernetes control plane on the user’s behalf. Provisioning, updates, availability and certificate rotation are handled by the provider. The user retains control over their workloads and node pools but does not administer the cluster’s critical infrastructure.
