Guest Suite is a SaaS solution provider that helps businesses with at least one physical location manage their online reputation and local visibility. With a comprehensive approach, the platform supports the entire customer review lifecycle — from collection and distribution to analysis, response, and centralization — as well as the online presence of a business location. Unlike some review platforms, Guest Suite operates in the background, allowing its clients to take the spotlight by showcasing their reviews and boosting their visibility on major platforms like Google Business Profile, Pages Jaunes, and Tripadvisor.

The multi-sector solution is aimed at all professionals for whom online reputation has a direct impact on the act of buying or booking.

A major technological overhaul

Two years ago, Guest Suite launched a major overhaul of its platform, which at the time had 9 years of continuous development behind it. This new version was designed to meet the challenges of scalability and performance, as well as simplifying technical workflows.

At the time, we still had very few customers using the new version. This enabled us to speed up the migration while limiting the risks.

The objective was clear: to regain control of the entire product and its infrastructure, with a gradual ramp-up of the teams, while integrating simpler, more reliable tools that consume less human resources on the hosting side.

Why choose Clever Cloud?

Faced with the considerable legacy of its IaaS infrastructure, Guest Suite decided to rely on Clever Cloud’s PaaS to support its new SaaS platform.

There were a number of reasons for this choice:

  • Greater peace of mind: Clever Cloud takes charge of managing the infrastructure, backups, deployments and monitoring;
  • Native scalability: essential to support the rapid growth of users on the new platform;
  • Sovereign and French hosting: a prerequisite increasingly demanded by major accounts;
  • Technical and human proximity: with personalised, responsive and fluid support throughout the migration phase;
  • Greater autonomy for developers: well-organised environments, accessible variables, automatic redeployments in the event of failure.

We needed to concentrate on our core business: developing features that bring value to our customers. Clever Cloud allows us to do just that.

A rapid and controlled migration

The migration to Clever Cloud took place in less than two months, between March and April 2024. Each application was migrated independently, under the responsibility of the technical leads. Careful support from Clever Cloud enabled the differences between IaaS and PaaS to be overcome quickly.

Tangible benefits within the first few weeks

By relying on Clever Cloud, Guest Suite saw a number of immediate improvements:

  • Automated, reliable deployment: in the event of a crash, automatic redeployment takes over;
  • Improved management of backups: everything is automated, secure and compliant with ISO 27001 and 9001 standards;
  • Newfound flexibility: rapid creation of SQL instances and use of environment variables in the interface facilitate testing and experimentation;
  • Simplified onboarding of new developers: the runtimes are standardised and it takes no time to get to grips with the system.

The first word that comes to mind to describe Clever Cloud is ’French”. The second is “proximity”. And the third is “responsiveness”.

An infrastructure ready for the future

Today, more than half of Guest Suite’s customers are already using the new platform hosted on Clever Cloud. The full migration will soon be complete. Thanks to solid, sovereign and scalable PaaS hosting, the teams can concentrate on what really matters: enriching their product and helping their customers to control their online image.
